The Olympians Swim Club attended the Hyack Youth Festival Cup this past weekend. Over the weekend two Olympians Swim Club records were broken and swimmer Katie Schroder achieved three Canadian Jr Championship qualifying times.
The boy’s 13-14 4x100 Medley team of Piyush Kaul, Brayden Herbert, Luke Stewart Beinder and Tyler Friesen placed second and broke a 12 year Olympians Club record with a time of 4:25.15.
Luke Stewart Beinder, Piyush Kaul, Brayden Herbert and Tyler Friesen broke an 11 year Olympians Swim Club record in the boys 13-14 4x100m Freestyle. They finished with a time of 3:58.78 and came away with first place.
Piyush Kaul achieved his Canadian Western Championship time in the 100m Backstroke with a best time of 1:05.21.
Swimmer Katie Schroder achieved three Canadian Jr Championship qualifying times. She achieved them in the 100m Butterfly with a best time of 1:07.66, the 200m Individual Medley with a best time of 2:29.99 and in the 400m Individual Medley with a best time of 5:21.21.
