2019 Hyack Festival Youth Cup Results

The Langley Olympian Swim Club swimmers dove into the 2019 Hyack Festival Youth Cup from May 17th – 19th.  33 Langley Olympian swimmers competed at the Canada Game Pool in New Westminster were over 450 swimmers competed for top spots.  The Langley Olympians placed in many events, broke two club records and had a swimmers achieve their Canadian Western and Canadian Jr Championship qualifying times.

Piyush Kaul (13 yrs, 12-13 Category) placed in five events.  He placed first in the 100m Backstroke and achieved his Canadian Western time with a best time of 1:05.21.  He placed second in the 100m Freestyle with a best time of 59.36 and in the 200m Individual Medley with a best time of 2:26.39.  He also placed third in the 200m Backstroke with a best time of 2:26.16 and in the 200m Butterfly with a best time of 2:29.90.

Katelyn Schroder (13 yrs, 12-13 Category) placed first in the 400m Individual Medley with a best time of 5:21.21 and in the 200m Individual Medley with a best time of 2:29.99.  She placed third in the 100m Butterfly with a best time of 1:07.06 and in the 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:16.29.  She also achieved three Canadian Jr Championship qualifying times.  She achieved them in the 100m Butterfly the 200m Individual Medley and in the 400m Individual Medley.

Macey Larson (11 yrs, 11 & Under Category) placed in five events this weekend.  She placed second in the 100m Breaststroke with a best time of 1:23.74, the 200m Breaststroke with a best time of 2:58.25 and third in the 400m Individual Medley with a best time of 5:50.32, the 200m Individual Medley with a best time of 2:47.80 and in the 400m Freestyle with a best time of 5:17.49.

Dylan Thomas (15 yrs, 14-15 Category) placed 1st in the 100m Breaststroke with a best time of 1:10.73 and in the 200m Breaststroke with a time of 2:35.53.  He also placed third in the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 5:02.24.

Sevi Parr (15 yrs, 14-15 Category) placed second in the 200m Freestyle with a best time of 2:11.93 and in the 400m Freestyle with a time of 4:37.67.

Gracie Maryschak (13 yrs, 12-13 Category) placed first in the 200m Breaststroke with a best time of 2:51.91 and third in the 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1:22.53.

Jihoon Bae (11 yrs, 11 & Under Category) placed second in the 100m Freestyle with a best time of 1:09.21.  He also placed third in the 50m Freestyle with a best time of 31.01.

Mia Goretic (15 yrs, 14-15 Category) placed second in the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 5:21.16 and in the 200m Individual Medley with a time of 2:28.82.

Sophia Adrain (16 yrs, 16 & Over Category) placed third in the 200m Butterfly with a best time of 2:32.22 and third in the 800m Freestyle with a time of 9:59.63.

Sienna Harder (12 yrs, 12-13 Category) placed second in the 200m Breaststroke with a best time of 2:55.85.

Ayush Kaul (17 yrs, 16 & Over Category) placed second in the 200m Butterfly with a time of 2:21.98.

Danny Park (11 yrs, 11 & Under Category) placed third in the 400m Freestyle with a best time of 5:16.64.

 

Adam Schmidt (16 yrs, 16 & Over Category) placed third in the 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:05.40.

Luke Stewart Beinder (12), Piyush Kaul (13), Brayden Herbert (14) and Tyler Friesen (13) broke an 11 year Olympians Swim Club record in the Men’s  13-14 4x100m Freestyle.  They finished with a time of 3:58.78 and came away with first place.

Severen Parr (15), Mia Goretic (15), Emily Manley (16) and Milana Solar (16) placed first in the Women’s 15 – 18 400m Freestyle with a time of 4:10.48.

The Men’s  13-14 4x100 Medley team of Piyush Kaul (13), Brayden Herbert (14),  Luke Stewart Beinder (12), and Tyler Friesen (13) placed second and broke a 12 year Olympians Club record with a time of 4:25.15.

Kody Suen (12), Macey Larson (11), Makayden Suen (12) and Madison Belgica (12) placed second in the Women’s 12 & Under 400m Medley with a time of 5:05.47.
