So far, 38% of families have made the switch to ACH payment - THANK YOU!  Starting in the new swim year (August, 2019), there will be a convenience fee added to automated payments to a credit card.  While ACH transactions are not free to PST, there will be no additional charge to members for using ACH. PST Hosted Meet Recap:

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but this team is pretty amazing and it’s never more evident than at our hosted meets.

Thank you to the office runners lead by the always buttoned up Matt Arnold, marshalls led by the no nonsense Andreas Oesterer, timers who stayed to the bitter end for our 400 swimmers, folks that hauled an enormous amount of equipment to and from, the awards desk who calmly managed the crowds, announcers and check-in desk that ran like (Swiss) clockwork, volunteer coordinators that made sure there were no holes, hospitality and all the folks who donated fresh and plentiful food that, in the words of one Zone 2 official, “was off the hook!”, officials who are on all meet long (and taking on advanced positions like Chief Judge Rachel Long and Starter Kevin Smith), and our awesome coaches who always go above and beyond.

But there has to a special shout out to those that just really rocked their area:

  • First and foremost is the Team within the Team – the Colorado folks - lead by James Powell.  For the first time, James, Michael Wenzler and Brian Payne set up without the seasoned (and extra) hands of a Zone 2 official.  Long after the rest of the set-up crew got those 9 high-maintenance Hills Hurricane tents up, these guys stayed to run wires, zip-tie harnesses, hang buttons, clamp down strobes and set up the timing console.  During the meet, James continued to troubleshoot wonky buttons and other tech glitches, while the Colorado operators and paper partners kept up with the crazy fast starters (like when a few swimmers from the next heat caught up and beat the heat prior), dealt with split heats and kept their cool.

  • Snack Shack.  This crew, along with your donations and led by the Janice Cain “3 for $5” special, KILLED. IT.  Snack Shack took in almost $3,500 in 2 days. That is insane when you consider it’s hot chocolate, cup o noodle and baked goods!

And because of this team’s collective effort that allowed us to cut costs and sell smart, and still run and feed well, we netted $12,000.

And we get to do it again May 16-17, 2020 [mic drop].

Don’t forget to check out our team website for fantastic photos from the meet, taken by our 3 fabulous photographers (Gabe Acevedo, Kate Grasman and Daniel Schulz-Jander)!
