Ashwaubenon Swim Club’s Board of Directors has approved a graduating senior scholarship program for ASC’s aquatic athletes who remain committed to improving the swim team throughout their high school years.
Service-leader athletes who fully participate in ASC for all four years of their high school swimming career through high school graduation will be awarded a $500.00 scholarship in recognition and appreciation for their significant contributions and leadership to Ashwaubenon Swim Club.
Swimmers may still participate in high school swimming but must also be registered with ASC year round to be eligible for the scholarship. Athletes (and their families) must remain committed to the team and continue to practice and compete regularly with ASC when they are not in their high school swim season, and must contribute their service/leadership participation to the team in order to remain eligible for the scholarship. Every graduating senior ASC athlete will receive the scholarship regardless of their group level on the team, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria.
Additionally, senior scholarship recipients will be welcomed back to participate in ASC’s regularly scheduled practices free of charge whenever they return to the area for Thanksgiving/Christmas/Spring breaks and throughout the summer session. This waives a significant fee normally charged by most area programs for post-graduate swimming.
“This scholarship will reward our highly valued high school age athletes for their ongoing commitment to ASC and their willingness to continue to make a positive difference for our organization as they grow into adults who can serve and lead others”, commented head coach David Snyder. “No matter where they go on to in life we want them to know they always have a home at ASC.”
Full details for senior scholarship eligibility criteria will be available on the team’s website www.asc-wi.com under the parent page tab later this week.
