Weekly Announcements for the Week of June 9

Here’s all the news you need to know for the week of June 9:

1. Key Announcements:

  • FAST BB/B/C Meet in June:  Please Sign Up to Swim and Complete Your Service Hours -- Use the link below to go directly to the meet information pages.  Swimmer registrations have been extended to Wednesday at noon!!
  • Senior Circuit II Meet @A&M -- The Meet Info and signups are now available!  Use the link below to go directly to the meet information pages.  Swimmer registrations are due on today!!
  • Summer Hours Adjustments -- As announced over the past week, there have been further adjustments to our evening workouts for Silver and Masters swimmers.  Click HERE to see the schedule.  
  • Forest Park Update -- Though we started contract discussions in March, the City has been slow to set up our contract (there has been turnover at the City that is affecting us and others).  We exchanged drafts with the City over the weekend, and hope to be in the water for morning practices later this week!

2. Practice Cancellations  THERE ARE NO CANCELLATIONS THIS WEEK. Your coach will let you know if there are any practice-group specific adjustments to this week’s schedule.

3. Help Us Grow the Team – Know anyone who might be interested in swimming competitively? Here are a few dates and options to keep in mind:

  • Tryouts -- Our next traditional tryouts are tomorrow, June 11.  Please tell anyone you know who might be interested in swiming for the summer or year round to come and check out the team.  They should visit our home page, www.fastswimming.org for details and to sign up!  
  • Race Ready Lessons – Race Ready is a professionally taught stroke school, with new classes starting every 4 to 6 weeks. Classes are open to all ages, starting at age 5 and ranging to adults and seniors. Click HERE for more information.
  • Shape-Up Summer Swim for High School Swimmers – Shape-Up is for high school swimmers wanting to work on specific technique and stay in shape during the summer break! Click  HERE for more information.
  • 2019 Summer Punch Card Program – This program is for new swimmers who want to give the team a try over the summer before committing fully. 15- and 20-punch options are available. Click   HERE for more information.

6. Sign up for Team App – Click  HERE for instructions for creating an account and linking to the coaching groups. Check it out, and sign up! And, be sure to turn on notifications, so that notices from your coaches pop up on your phone in real time.
