What a great weekend to be at home for a swim meet! SCST did a good job swimming in our 2nd long course meet of the season. FOX and WEST are great competition and friends, it is always fun to host them. Their parents were gracious to help time this weekend. SCST did a good job of trying new strategies over the weekend. Now swimmers need to learn from the meet and be ready to be better at the next competition. There were a lot of success at this early season meet check out how SCST did.
SCST TEAM GOALS -
SCST will be early for Warm Ups and Parents your working commitments this weekend. What a Team Effort Swimmers and Parents did a Great Job of being on time!
SCST will sit as a Team, STRENGTH IN NUMBERS! With it being such a beautiful weekend it was difficult to keep athletes indoors for the whole meet. When swimmers were inside they did a good job of sitting with one another.
SCST will take pride in being a part of SCST and clean up their Team area after each session! This was good but can always be better, do not let someone else pick up your trash. Thank you SCST Senior Swimmers who helped pick up after each session.
SCST will have a Team Spirit at EVERY Session! SCST Swimmers did a Great Job cheering each other on. At the beginning of the meet Swimmers make sure you let everyone at the pool know who we are.
SCST will be the BEST Team inside the flags in Every Race! Swimmers will not breath their first stroke Off ALL Starts and Turns! A Lot of Work needs to be done on this part of SCST Swimmers Races!
SCST Swimmers will protect themselves from the heat and sun. Swimmers stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun (sun screen, long sleeve shirts, hats, etc.). Swimmers did not do a good job with this, especially SCST Swimmers in the afternoon.
SCST will have less than 8% of our swims disqualified (DQ). At the last home meet SCST had 8% of our swims disqualified. With more SCST swimmers participating this weekend this will be a challenge. SCST Swimmers had a total of 1,231 swims this past weekend and SCST came away with 3% of the swims DQed. OUTSTANDING JOB! Keep swimming legal, it’s faster!
SCST will have more than 300 improved times. Another outstanding effort by SCST Swimmers, our swimmers achieved 522 improved swims.
SCST will have at least one Female and Male Swimmer achieve an “AAAA” Time this weekend. This is not new “AAAA” times these are swimmers who swam this national standard over the weekend. This standard is a stepping stone for athletes becoming National Level Swimmers. One Swimmer achieved this standard; THOMAS McMILLAN 10 & U Boys 50 Back.
SCST will have one swimmer set a New Meet Record. SCST set 4 New Meet Records! Congratulations CONNOR PLUSKWA 8 & Under Boys 200 IM, KANE KRIZ 13-14 Boys 50 Fly, WILL MYHRE 15 & Over Boys 50 Breast and KYLE LEWARCHICK 15 & Over Boys 200 IM. Great Racing Boys!
SCST will have a Team appearance; FRIDAY Swimmers wear your BLACK SC T-Shirt, SATURDAY Swimmers wear your ORANGE SC T-Shirt, SUNDAY Swimmers wear your BLUE SC T-Shirt. SCST Swimmers and Parents when we dress alike we are an intimidating force, there is strength in numbers. If your swimmer does not have a shirt get your before the next meet.
A number of SCST Swimmers had Life Time Best Swims and more SCST Swimmers had smart races.
