USA Swimming released its Minor Athlete Protection Policy (MAAPP) addressing one-on-one interactions, social media and electronic communications, travel: local and team, locker rooms and changing areas and massages, rubdowns and athletic training modalities.
Attached is the MAPP Policy adopted by Tampa Y Swimming. This information is on our website, under Resources – Safe Sport. Please read this policy. All families are required to have a signed copy of the agreement on file with Tampa Y Swimming. We have attached a copy of the contract and contract signature page. We only need one signature page per family. There are several options to complete this contract:
- Read the contract below, print the signature page, sign it and email a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Read the contract below, print the signature page, sign it, and your swimmer can give it to a coach at practice.
- Read the contract below. We will distributing signature pages to all swimmers over the next few weeks. Parents can sign the paper and your swimmer can bring it to practice to give to a coach.
Going forward, we will review these policies and re-sign contracts in August at our Annual Season Kickoff Event. USA Swimming provides a full explanation and several FAQ’s related to this policy. If you have any additional questions or concerns feel free to contact me.
