Hello WCSC Parents and Swimmers!
The 2019 All City Swim Meet is almost here! Only 9 days to go!!
We have a few updates and reminders for the team for jobs, ads, shout outs and parking permits.
All City Jobs - Sign up!
We can’t put this meet on without EVERYONE’S participation. Make sure you have signed up for (2) 4-hour shifts plus either set up on Friday or take-down on Sunday afternoon. You need to find a sub if you can’t make all of these assignments. We really need everyone to do their part to make this a success each year.
If you have set up the younger kids at home meets as a shepherd, please sign up for Head of Clerk of the Course. This is a trainable position and is vital for getting the swimmers organized for the meet.
Signups are here:
Can We Borrow---Bring to meet set up on Friday
It was great to have a few extra items on hand for the meet. Can anyone lend the team:
Microwave (to use in the snack shack)
Mister water systems (to install where we need cooling). We try to keep people cool and having the mister water systems that have the long tubing and several spouts allowed us to keep swimmers chilling near clerk of the course. If we have more, we can install elsewhere. If you have one, bring it.

Team Area Set Up
We will be able to set up popups, tents and chairs on Friday evening. Let's make sure to try and share with other families when possible and keep the pop ups and tents as tight as possible -- while also leaving some space to walk around! WCSC is located next the gate across from the tennis center and next to the snack shack and right next to Clerk of the Course.
Snack Shack -- extra credit points and an easy way to help out!
Can you score some bonus points and help out with the snack shack menu? You know our snack shack does an amazing job each year. We need some extra help with bringing fruit, making delicious desserts, cutting up watermelon and other pretty easy things that make a huge impact! Please look at our wish list, and bring whatever you can - unwashed and uncut - for your ease and convenience! Please drop off at set up on Friday, 6/28 or Saturday morning, 6/29 at the snack bar area.
Please see our signup here to let us know what you’re bringing:
Parking permits will go on sale on Thursday 6/20 to the team and will be publicized to the other teams on Friday. Parking is $60 for the weekend with in and out privileges. You will need to bring a copy of your receipt or show your emailed receipt the first time you enter. Then you will receive a permit to be displayed on your dashboard.

Budke’s and Gilmore’s
Our Nightriders (15-18 age group) have a long tradition of TPing WCSC houses throughout the swim season. This tradition is very special and fun for the kids and waking up being TPed is supposed to be an honor and spread our team spirit. We encourage families to partake in this tradition, and want to emphasize that we do this as a fun team activity, and do not mean any offense by it.However, we understand that some families would prefer to not participate in this tradition. If you want to opt out, please email the Nightriders at firstname.lastname@example.org
We have several ways we are communicating with you this season. Email, Facebook, our new communication board up at practices and meets, and by text. To receive text messages make sure that in your account on our web page you have put in your cell number AND hit the verify tab next to your cell number.
**Sign ups for social events (other than camping) that have a cost associated will be through WCSC's Square Up Store. Social event sign ups without a cost will be through Sign Up Genius. See the links below the event. ***

We have three main fundraising focuses this year -
- The first is our All City meet. This is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year and we need ALL hands on deck starting now. Recruit for ads and shout outs to be placed in our All City program starting now. Email email@example.com for more info.
- The second is through team sponsors. Tap into your network of awesome businesses to sponsor our team. For info and sponsors packages, email firstname.lastname@example.org
- The third is our Swim-A-Thon hosted by our Nightriders. This will be July 11 during practice and our goal is $2000 to raise money for our Nightriders to support all the events/activities they do for the team. If every swimmer raises at least $20, we will meet our goal. Go to our home page to track our team progress, set up your donation page and donate. The race is on now.
- We are in need of a fundraising person. This is a board position. Please email email@example.com if you are interested or want more info.
