Double Meet Weekend! Good Job.

Good job swimmers officials, TTST Coaches, and parents on a successfull double meet weekend.  Thanks again for all of your hard work to make TTST a dynamic fun place to be head coach!

We had 27 swimmers compete this past weekend from Friday, June 21st - Sunday, June 23rd at two seperate meets.  Reno had 16 swimmers attending, and Bend had 11 TTST Senior, National / Collegiate team swimmers attending.

In Reno the girls team consisted of:  Abigail, Aria, Kinley, Brynn, Anna, Addison, Calli, Anna, Kara, Hope, and Caitlin raced hard during a long warm weekend.  All of these girls have been doing a great job in practice and it showed at the meet with nearly all of them having a few races or more where they improved.  In the end it was Abigail who made some big improvements and shined through for top honors as TTST Swimmer of the meet for the girls!

The boys in Reno the team consisted of:  Walker, Peyton, Noah, Ty, John, and Carter.  Similar to the girls they all had a few great swims.  Peyton dropped time in a almost all his events with a big drop in the 100 Fly earning him a USA Swimming A time for that event!  Congratulations Peyton for being the TTST Swimmer of the meet on the boys side!

The Bend competition was fun and fresh.  We had 11 Senior and National / Collegiate TTST team members attend.  In short is was a fast bunch of swimmers!

We had a list of wins from a few swimmers.  Cooper returned from his first year of NCAA D1 Swimming with a win in the 50 Free on the first night.  Kaikea nearly swept the events he swam for wins in the 100 Back, 100 Free, and 200 Back.  Kensi also posted the highlight win of the meet for TTST.  She won the 100 Fly in a her personal best time, breaking the TTST Open and Age Record with a 1:04.98!  Another highlight win was a the A TTST Mixed 200 Medley Relay consisting of Kaikea (Back), Aaron (Breast), Kensi (Fly), and Sydney (Free). These four swimmers won a tight finish for first place by only 0.07.  A large part of that relay win was in due to a blistering :28 Butterfly leg by Kensi!  With these two amazing swims by Kensi she earns TTST Swimmer of the Bend Meet for the girls.

Aaron, Alyssa, Claire, Claudia, and Sydney all posted some great swims and raced as hard as they could.  The majority of best times went to Kensi & Riley (100 Fly),  and then Asher standing out the entire meet with big improvements in every swim!  Asher earns the honor of Bend TTST Swimmer of the meet for his efforts on the boys side.

Congratulations to all the swimmers who raced this past weekend!

Swim on,

Coach Cyrus
