4th of July Swim to the Wreck Vero

On Independence Day morning around 8:00 a.m. (a/k/a Fourth of July) we will be celebrating our nations 243rd birthday with a swim to the SS Breconshire (a/k/a the Boiler Wreck) and champagne toast at the flag (on the wreck). This is open to any and all who want to participate and those that don’t want to swim can kayak or paddleboard (we need a few of those to carry the champagne and for us to hang onto out there).

We meet on the beach right behind the Ocean Grill. Plenty of parking in Sexton Plaza.

This is a BYOB event but usually there is enough to go around if you don’t have something. Kids are welcome, of course, and can bring their favorite, legal beverage of choice. The swim is pretty easy and most times you can see the bottom the entire way.

No RSVP is required; just show up and swim.
