Congratulations Lisa!


Congratulations to former Tri-City Channel Cat, Lisa Bratton, on her Gold Medal in the 200m Backstroke yesterday at the World University Games, in Naples, Italy. 

Bratton and Asia Seidt, both representing the USA, went 1-2 in the women’s 200m backstroke, with Bratton setting a WUGs record in 2:07.91. Bratton’s time was the eighth-fastest in the world this year in that event, Seidt’s the 13 th-fastest.

Lisa was also recently nominated for the 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year Award: 
Bratton is one of 585 female college athletes that have been nominated by NCAA member schools for this award. The NCAA Woman of the Year award was established in 1991 and recognizes graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers. Nine finalists will be announced in September, with the chosen recipient to be announced at the annual award ceremony on Oct. 20 in Indianapolis.
