There was no warning, there was no alert, there were no sirens. Before they knew it the Highland Heights Hurricanes were in the eye of the Willowick storm.
The Wildkats won all eight medley relays and blew past Highland Heights for a 337-211 victory. It was the second win in a row for Willowick, which improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in Division I.
The Hurricanes tried to weather the early onslaught by winning a majority of the 200 frees and individual medleys, but it was the Willowick depth that kept them from getting to close throughout the meet.
One individual medley Willowick was able to win was by Caleb Ortman, who's time of 1:14.76 was a new team record. Caleb also won his 50 butterfly.
The other double individual-race winners for the Wildkats were: Nathaniel Peters (50 free, 25 breast), Elliot Suponcic (25 fly, 25 back) Riley Lacinak (50 free, 100 free), Drew Morbeto (50 fly, 100 free), Savanah Hirsch (200 free, 50 breast), Holly Suponcic (100 IM, 50 fly), Jack Gogala (100 free, 50 breast), Sally Dempsey (100 fly, 100 back), Joey Mausser (100 fly, 100 breast) and Sam Ganim (200 free, 100 back).
