2019 FISU Summer Universiade Results


Langley Olympians Swim Club swimmer Hillary Metcalfe (21) competed as part of Team Canada at the 2019 FISU Summer Universiade also known as the World University Games. The 2019 Summer Universiade is held every two years and was held this July 3rd – 14th in Naples, Italy.  This event is one of the largest global multi-sports events for student-athletes and welcomed over 6000 of the best student athletes from 150 different countries.

Hillary Metcalfe (21) swam in the 200m Individual Medley and swam her way to the semi finals.  She swam hard and placed 12th overall with a time of 2:15.70.

The Canadians Women's relay team of Ingrid Wilm, Nina Kucheran, Hannah Genich and Ainsley McMurray won a bronze medal in the Women’s 4 x 100m relay with a time of 4:03.32.
