Introducing Coach Drew Crockett
757swim is thrilled to announce that Coach Drew Crockett will be joining our full time coaching staff as an Assistant Head Coach.
Coach Drew grew up in the Williamsburg area. He swam for the Coast Guard Blue Dolphins for 13 years as well as for both Lafayette and Warhill. Following his graduation from Warhill, Coach Drew attended Old Dominion University and captained the ODU Swimming and Diving team. He was a multiple school record holder as well as a Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.
During college, Coach Drew served as Head Coach of the Mallory Country Club swim team in Norfolk, as well as an Assistant Coach for Tidewater Aquatic Club. After college, he obtained an assistant coaching position with Tide Swimming in Virginia Beach and worked his way up to Head Senior 1 Coach as well as Head Masters Coach. He also was selected to serve on the coaching staff of the Virginia Swimming Zones Team.
Coach Drew left coaching to pursue a career with the Virginia Beach Fire Department, where he served for 3 years as a rescue swimmer, marine operator, marine crewman, Driver/Pump operator and EMT. He found, however, that he never lost his desire to serve the community as a swim coach.
Drew moved back to the Williamsburg area with his wife, Becca, following the birth of their son, Waylan. He is excited to be back in his home town and to have the opportunity pursue his passion for swim coaching once again. As part of the 757swim family, he looks forward to devoting his energy and enthusiam to bringing the best possible swim team experience to his neighbors in Williamsburg.
Welcome to the 757swim family, Drew, Becca and Waylan!
