Post Season Information

The post season meets are fast approaching, so here is what you need to know.

**Swimmers must have competed in two dual meets in order to swim in a post season meet

Speedy sixers champs -- Sat July 20th at Normandy Park, Please let the coaches know if you plan to attend. Fun and low key meet. Swimmers are grouped into color teams and swim each of the 4 events

B Champs -- Thursday July 25th at Arbor Heights.  Warm ups usually start between 2:00-3:00 pm with meet starting at 4pm. If you have any individual qualifying times this season you should not swim this meet. There are no relays. Swimmers who make a qualifying time at this meet will automatically be entered in the Prelims meet.

Girls and Boys Prelims-- Mon July 29th/Tues July 30th. Warm ups are earlier and meet starts at 4pm -- You must have an individual qualifying time to swim this meet, with a few exceptions:

  • If you were on a prelims qualifying relay please talk to the coaches
  • For 8&U and 9-10 age groups a bonus swimmer may be added to each event. This way relay-only qualifiers get a chance to swim an individual event in these younger age groups only

** YOU SHOULD NOT SIGN UP FOR PRELIMS UNLESS YOU CAN ALSO SWIM SOUTHERNS AND ALL-CITY. This is a league rule and a violation can get the team in big trouble. This includes relay only swimmers. The relay team is disqualified if there is a change in swimmers after Prelims (unless of medical emergency)

Southerns -- Thursday August 1st at Gregory Seahurst. Entrants determined at the end of Prelims meets. Top 6 qualifiers advance, and 2 alternates are also asked to be there

All City -- Tusday August 6th at Blue Ridge (northern team).  Swimmers are notified the morning after the divisional meets as the top 6 city wide advance. There may be uneven representation from the north and south teams so all results are reviewed before selections are made.

Please talk to the coaches if you are unsure if your swimmer has qualified. If they qualified for multiple events please let coaches know what they want to swim (same rules as dual meets, 2 ind + 2 relay or 3 ind +1 relay)

Please, Please take a moment to attend or decline the post season meets. Every year it is very difficult to track down swimmers in the short period of time between the last dual meet and when entries are due for these meets.

Hope this all makes sense. We will post qualifying swimmers at the pool after tonight's meet
