Athlete Protection Training for athletes is a mandatory requirement, effective 6/23/19, for any athlete 18 or older. Athletes have a grace period of 30 days from their 18th birthdate to complete this requirement. When doing the APT courses, they need to do the evaluation questions at the end of each course. Failure to complete each evaluation question will result in APT showing as not done, regardless of the certificates generated as they go through the courses. Athletes required to complete APT who have not done it are considered not in good standing and therefore not covered by insurance when at practice. These athletes will be removed from meets and are ineligible to late enter meets. Additionally, these athletes cannot be registered for 2020 until they have completed APT. Any questions should be directed to Karen Rourke, NT Swimming Registrar.
