July 24 News and Notes

Tonight  - Wednesday July 24 is our last spirit night of the season.  Thanks to all the families who took home pasta and brownies to cook for the night.  If you could bring those cooked items back to the pool tonight by 6:30 we will be in good shape to serve shortly there after.  There will be time tonight for the parents to challenge the swimmers in the annual Parents vs Swimmers relays.  This a good chance for all those signed up to swim at the divisional meet "Parent Relay" to get some practice in before the meet.

If you have not looked in your family folders in some time please do so and take out all the of the items left behind.  This makes the job of putting together the end of season packets much easier.

Reminder - As the summer swim season is soon ending, it is time to think of our hard working coaches.  Coaches Dalton, Colleen, Molly, Morgan, Darby, Erin, Nick and Erin have dedicated so much of their time coaching our swimmers throughout this season.  It would be nice to show our coachers how much we appreciate all they have done for the swimmers of the Brookside Hurricanes.  If you would like to contribute towards a monetary gift for our coaches, please use the envelope marked “Coaches Gift” located in your family folder.  Envelopes can be returned to the blue Coach folder located in front of the family folders. All envelopes must be received by July 26th.  Coach “gifts” will be presented to our coaches at our End-of-Year Banquet.

This weeks divisional meet is sponsored by CrossFit Vint Hill. CrossFit Vint Hill is committed to impacting the fitness and overall health and wellness of Fauquier County and its neighboring areas. Providing coach led group fitness, private coaching and nutrition coaching to accommodate a wide range of fitness levels, ages and abilities. This isn't the "CrossFit Games," ladies, you are not going to "get bulky," you don't need to be fit first. Guys, you can "still get strong and lift heavy." And you don't need a name tag.  Everyone here knows your name and from day one you are part of the family. If you've ever wanted to try something new but unsure if CrossFit is for you, we have something for everyone.  Coach-led classes, fully tailorable workouts, meeting new friends and achieving your ideal level of fitness are just a handful of the things that are waiting for you here.  This is more than a "CrossFit Gym," this is your community fitness solution. We hope to be the best hour of your day and welcome the opportunity to serve your fitness needs. CrossFit Vint Hill is located near Old Bust Head Brewery and Farm Station Cafe.
