25 July 2019 (Gwangju, Korea) - Cascade’s Cole Pratt finished up his first ever senior national team experience last night in his final race of the week - the men’s 200m backstroke. Pratt finished 26th overall this event swimming a 2:00.45 in the preliminary heat. Earlier in the week Cole swam the 200IM in prelims finishing 36th.
The competition has been a great learning event for Cole and coach Dave who got to test themselves in the second highest calibre meet the is swum in our sport with only the ultimate, the Olympic Games, being at any higher level.
Up next Cole comes home on Monday to finalize his preparation into the Canadian Swimming Championships with the rest of his teammates. Up after that and immediately following the trip to Winnipeg he will be off to Budapest for the World Junior Championships happening at the end of August.
