Dolphins Rock All-Stars

Congrats to all of the swimmers who represented Somerset at MCSL All Stars this weekend. This pits the best of the best from all of Montgomery County, and everyone’s times were lightning fast!

At Individual All Stars yesterday 7 swimmers participated in 10 swims. According to our automation team, this is a record for the Dolphins (at least as far back as they can remember). Here are the results:

  • Joey Edick – 12th in 8u breast
  • Miles Haraldsson – 16th in 13-14 free and 13th in 13-14 back
  • Peter Kumar – 16th in 11-12 free
  • Phoebe Lewis – 14th in 11-12 free
  • Dylan Reilly – 4th in 8u free and 1st in 8u breast
  • Samantha Smith – 2nd in 15-18 back and 3rd in 15-18 fly
  • Jessie Williams – 14th in 9-10 free

And on Saturday, the three Somerset relay teams all finished in the top three:

  • Francis Astill, Peter Kumar, Miles Haraldsson and Dylan Reilly won the Boys 14 and Under Graduated Freestyle Relay.
  • Mikey Panner, Samantha Smith, Nicole Vanderzon and Delia Vanderzon finished third in Girls Open Medley Relay
  • Mac Owen, Thomas Astill, Dylan Reilly and Eli Mascott finished second in the Boys 8 and Under Medley Relay

Not surprisingly, Somerset swimmers set new team records over the weekend. Dylan Reilly beat his own record in both the 8u free and the 8u breast. Samantha Smith accomplished the same feat. She bettered her own records in both the 15-18 back and the 15-18 fly. And the Boys 8 and Under Relay Team (Mac Owen, Thomas Astill, Dylan Reilly and Eli Mascott) also set the team record.

Congrats again, swimmers, parents, and coaches!
