Gaby Van Brunt Can Fly!
Our very own GCAT swimmer, Gaby Van Brunt, made her first Olympic trials cut on Saturday in the 100 Fly. Next summer Gaby will be heading to Omaha for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials. Well Done!
SwimSwam reported: "Day 2 of the Greensboro Futures meet saw more young talent shine through. 13-Year-Old Gabrielle Vanbrunt (Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team) won the women’s 100 fly with a 1:00.49, beating her previous best over a second. In Addition to qualifying Vanbrunt for next Summer’s Olympic Trials, her time sits as one of the all-time fastest by a 13-year-old. According to the SWIMS database, it’s the 4th fastest time by a 13-year-old all-time."
