USA SWIMMING FUTURES CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS FOR UASC

The UASC Golden Bear group continued their successful summer this past weekend at USA Swimming Futures Championship in Geneva, Ohio, where 11 athletes competed in the meet.  The athletes were Erin Reardon, Caroline Porterfield, Riley Huddleston, Alicia Howe, Avery Voss, Luke Landis, Hayden Jay, Alec Caswell, Jake Meyer, Grant Gooding and Jackson Gooding.

Scoring points for the Bears were Erin, Riley, Avery, Luke, Hayden, Alec, Jake and Grant.

Achieving Junior National time standards were Luke Landis in the mile (16:05.05), Avery Voss in the 50 (23.62) and the 400 free relay of Jake, Avery, Hayden and Grant (3:33.70)!

   

Finally, 5 club records were broken as well, including Riley in the 100 back, Luke in the 800 free, 1500 free, and 200 fly and Grant in the 13/14 200 IM!

The Golden Bear group will finish out our Long Course and the clubs season this week as coach Mike and Riley Huddleston travel to Palo Alto, California for Junior Nationals where she will swim the 100 free (Wednesday), 100 back (Friday), and 50 Free (Saturday)!
