The NCA Swim Team had another impressive showing at the Local and National Level this Long Course Season. NCA competed at JAG, Sectionals, Junior Olympics, and Western Senior Zones in late June & July. All of these particular swim meets required each swimmer to achieve a qualifying time standard in order to compete.

Our first Championship meet was JAG (June Age Group Championships). Only Kendall Moffitt and Elyse McIntyre participated and came home with four medals and three additional top 16 finishes.

Kendall Moffitt qualified for Sectionals for the first time. This meet brings swimmers under 20 years of age from all across California to compete. Kendall placed 58th and 113th.

At Junior Olympics, our young team put on a great showing and lots of time drops. NCA swimmers came home with 18 medals. NCA came home with four Gold medals, three Silver medals, and four Bronze medals. Kendall Moffitt-16, came home with the 15-18-year-old High Point Champion of the meet!

NCA had an overall 17th place finish out of 25+ teams; this 17th place is significant with only seven swimmers competing compared to other much larger teams. This speaks to the “quality” of the swimming NCA swimmers accomplished at this meet. Congrats to all our medal winners – Allison Morales, Kendall Moffitt, Trace Bennett, Tyler Seidel, Grace Crose, Elyse McIntyre. Our Consolation swimmer put on a great performance as well, Owen Bennett achieving lifetime best times in all of his events.

Western Senior Zones is the next meet NCA participated in. NCA had two qualifiers for this meet. Congrats to Elyse McIntyre-15, Kendall Moffitt-16 for achieving the time standards. Over 1,200 swimmers all 19 & under competed at this Senior swim meet. Kendall Moffitt’s best place was 25th in the 800 Meter Free.

Congratulations on a very successful Long Course Season. We hope we have more qualifiers for 2020 Short Course Season!
