Week of August 11, 2019

Registration Notes: Registration is now open - please  CLICK HERE to register. If you've already registered please know that you were charged a pro-rated $290 annual fee. You'll be billed the balance of that fee and we apologize for any confusion.

Turning 18 Soon? Don't forget to complete your Athlete Protection Training so you can practice with the team and compete in meets. The information can be found HERE.

Let Mrs. Follmer know when you've finished the training.

Thank you to Cristina and Marc Bensadoun and John Griscavage for staffing the Orinda Aquatics booth at the County Meet! We appreciate your time and your recruting efforts! If you know anyone who is interested in swimming year round please refer them to Donnie.

We finished the long course season with swimmers at the   Western Zone Senior meet (and a strong team win), the   Summer's End Classic  Nationals,  Junior Nationals, and the   Western Zone Age-Group   All Star   meet. After a great team showing in the short course meet at DVC, the team finishes the  USA Swimming Virtual Club Championship at 65th in the nation, 15th in the Western United States and 9th in the State of California (among the nearly 3,000   teams in the country.) For teams under 200 swimmers (OA at 130), the team finished in the top two in the nation among 2,000+ teams and the number one team in the Western United States.

We encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for regular highlights.

Practice Schedule: Ronnie will touch base regarding practice times.

Current college-bound swimmers are covered by their 2018-19 registration until their departure dates. However, you'll need to register your college swimmer at a later date if they plan to swim with Orinda Aquatics at all during college breaks/summer. Be sure to keep your Athlete Protection Training current - it needs to be updated annually.

Enjoy the break!! (including parents...)
