End of Summer Meet Recap

In August, KSC wrapped up a swim filled summer! The Oahu Grand Prix marked the end of the season for most of our swimmers. The team-hosted event featured teams from Hawaii, Texas, California, and many of KSC’s alumni. The 50 meter shootouts, prizes, and competing against mainland swimmers in Hawaii were a few highlights from the meet.

A few days later, KSC hit the skies again! Below are some highlights from the meets on the mainland:

Several KSC boys competed in the 2019 Futures Championship in Mt. Hood, Oregon. Three swimmers traveled to Stanford, California to compete in the 66 Phillips National Championships and two swimmers came home with new Olympic Trials qualifying times! Grace Monahan secured her 200 Fly cut with a 2:14.23 and Michael Petrides earned cuts in the 200 Free 1:50.4 and 400 Free 3:56.59. Eight swimmers joined Team Hawaii in the Western Zone Age Group championships meet in Mr. Hood, Oregon.

Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated in meets this summer with KSC! Also, a huge thank you to the parents who helped volunteer to make all the meets run smoothly! 2020, we’re ready for ya!
