15-year-old BREA Aquatics swimmer Justina Kozan blasted a winning time of 2:11.55 to take the women’s 200m IM crown here at the World Junior Championships. This evening, Kozan charged to the wall by over a body length, topping the podium in 2:11.55 to beat out Mei Ishihara of Japan and Zoe Vogelmann of Germany. Both the women finished well behind in silver- and bronze-worthy times of 2:13.43 and 2:13.52, respectively.
With her swim, Kozan now ranks as the 4th fastest American 15-16-year-old ever in this 200m IM event, sitting only behind Katie Hoff, Dagny Knutson and Elizabeth Pelton
