Poseidon Annual Parent Meeting


Our Annual Parent meeting will be Thursday September 12th from 5:30 – 6 pm in the Game Room at Thorbeckes.  This is a mandatory meeting and at least one parent for each swimmer should plan to attend.  We will be handing out paperwork for the 2019-2020 season, presenting the Poseidon Budget, discussing the upcoming years meet schedule and the 2019 Q-Meet.


Poseidon Regional and Senior Fall Hike


Regional and Senior Swimmers; we are planning our Fall Hike for Saturday, September 14th.  We will be hiking Staircase this year in the Olympic National Forest.  Put the date on your calendar, you don’t want to miss it!  Additional info to come as we get closer to the date.


Equipment Bags:


If you are a Racer, Challenger, Regional, or Senior swimmer you should have an individual equipment bag that you keep at the pool for your use.

NUTRITION:  After heredity and training, nutrition plays the largest role in the quality of a swimmer's performance.  HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!!!

Every swimmer should have a water bottle at the end of their training lane.  Swimmers sweat during their workouts; the same amount of dehydration occurs during a swim workout as does a person doing a “dry” workout.  REMEMBER your water bottle every day.  It is just as important as your cap, suit, and goggles.  You wouldn’t come to swim practice without one of them – don’t come without your water bottle.
