Message from Head Coach

Dear Triton Family,

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome all new and returning members to the 2019-2020 swim season!

I have been on the road for five days and throughout four provinces to be here today and I want you to know that I am very excited to be your new head coach and very much looking forward to meeting all swimmers, parents, volunteers and coaches and start working towards the betterment of the Triton Swimming community.

So far, my experience interacting with the members of the club has been outstanding. I have felt so welcomed and it has been very simple and enjoyable to communicate and work with the members of the board to get things going for the upcoming season and I am very optimistic to continue to do so for the months to come.

As the new head coach, I thought I would give you a little background of myself, so you get to know me before we go on deck. I started swimming when I was 5 years old and have been involved in the sport in some shape since then. I swam competitively up until 2016 and I have been coaching for the past 8 years, from swim academies all the way to national level qualifiers. I coach with the philosophy that swimming is a magnificent tool to help us thrive as individuals while pursuing success. And Success goes beyond what we achieve in the pool; it is about becoming the best version of ourselves during the process. I believe my experience in both high performance and novice programs, not to mention my absolute passion for the sport and coaching, will help me lead the way towards excellence for Triton Swim Club!

I am very eager to start training and let you know all the fun things that we have in store for you this year. Every season has so much excitement to offer and this one is no exception, especially since it is an Olympic year. So everyone buckle up because we are in for a wild ride!

That is all from me now but if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at tritonswimmingheadcoach@gmail.com

Have a great long weekend and see you all on deck!

Coach Susie
