Welcome back to the school year and short course season. We hope that you are finding a smooth transition back to fall and enjoyed your summer break.
With our ever growing Saline Swim Team family, we are excited to announce a few changes to our staff this season. First, we want to congratulate our very own Johnny Young on a promotion to Co-12 and Under Director of the program. Johnny has been with SST for the past 4 years and has had tremendous impact in the growth of our entire program. He will continue to lead our Bronze and Gold groups, but take on more added development of specific program planning, data collection, and staff mentorship for the 12 and under arm.
Along with Johnny, we are thrilled to welcome Alan Duski to our Saline Swim Team staff! He will work alongside Johnny as Co-12 and Under Director to help ensure proper development of all our swimmers. Alan joins our staff with an extensive resume and a wealth of knowledge in both land training and swim coaching. He swam at Eastern Michigan University, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in both psychology and nutrition. From there, he went on to earn his Masters in Exercise Physiology in 2016 and began coaching with Club Wolverine that same year- leading his own group and creating tailored swim workouts for 11-14 year old swimmers.
Along with helping to develop the 12 and under arm of our program, Alan will be writing and overseeing our dry-land program for all of our competitive swimmers - bronze through senior level. During his time at Club Wolverine, he was the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the entire team, in which he wrote and oversaw the dry-land program across all levels, including bio-mechanical clinics and evaluations.
Please join us in congratulating both Johnny and Alan in their new roles with the club. We are excited to bring these two members of our community on board and move the club forward!
