My name is Anshul Kamath and I am 18 years old. My Berkeley career started on Snappers when I was 9 years old, and I soon moved up to the Junior and Senior teams while also swimming on the Millburn High School team for 3 years. I graduated from Millburn with High Honors and am a recipient of the AP National Scholar Award.
Additionally, I was part of a VEX Robotics team outside of school which won the State Championships twice and qualified for the World Championships all 4 years. While in school, my other endeavors included starting a club at my high school (called the TED-Ed Club), joining the Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble in middle school. I volunteered at an elementary school in Newark where I taught computer science to kids as well as the Liberty Science Center. None of this would have been possible without Berkeley.
Everyday I was surrounded by role models and given the opportunity to think to myself. My priorities were always kept in check by my coaches and my friends. Without their guidance and support, I would not have had the discipline, focus, nor organizational skills to excel in these fields.
