Welcome to October! We are starting this week September and ending
the week in October! It is so hard to beleive that we are two
months into this incredible season. This is such a great team who
can accomplish great things and I am so grateful for all of these
girls! We have the habits, were managin the stress and this week
are talking about using competition as motivation.
Competition isn't something to be afraid of, its something to
embrace! Whether it is our teammates, our club teammates or another
team we can use the competition we have as motivation to perform at
our best. Competition allows us to push through the mental blocks
or muscle fatigue and find that next gear to get a best dive, best
time or to win as a team.
Competition as motivation does not mean we speak poorly about
anyone or that we are afraid of anyone. It means that we respect
the work and talent of others on our team and on other teams, and
we show up to RACE or DIVE at our best! It means we find the next
gear, next positive thing, next way to be successful. We use our
competition as motivation to train hard, stay focused on our goals
and bring our best selves to the pool every day. It means we
need to keep our PMA, fuel our bodies, be a great teammate and
reach our goals as a team.
