The Lady Crusaders had their final home dual meet of the season tonight against Dakota. Unfortunately, the Crusader lost the meet by a score of 118-62.
Even though the team lost the meet, I was elated in the manor in which they competed. I saw several swimmers attempt new techniques through out several different swims and this is a good thing, because as I have been telling them, you cannot keep swimming in the same manor and expect better results. To improve in swimming, not only do you have to work hard, but you also have to be willing to change and try different techniques.
The following swimmers had best times this evening in the following events: 200 Free - Sara Bauer & Avery Brown, 200 IM - Hannah Gurecki, Megan Combs & Kaelan Fischer, 50 Free - Emma Dutkiewicz, Olivia Perfili, Megan Schwartz, Gabby Fischer & Jessica Raleigh, 100 Fly - Jenna Loyal & Madison McMullen, 100 Free - Avery Brown & Rachel Yung, 500 Free - Olivia Perfili & Kaelan Fischer, 100 Back - Jessica Raleigh & 100 Breast - Megan Combs & Sydney Johns.
Our next dual meet is a week from today at L'Anse Creuse. Just a reminder, there will be NO BUS for this meet. All swimmers should be at LCHS by 4:30.
