We are excited to offer a new program at New Trier Aquatics beginning this week to continue to broaden our scope of inclusive training for all athletes.
Adaptive 4 (or A4) will be a complementary group for athletes
needing additional accommodations for training and stroke
instruction. This is not a learn to swim program, but rather an
innovative training group designed to supplement the swim team
environment for our athletes who need additional
Whether your athlete needs a calmer environment or more one-on-one instruction, much like our educational environment at our local schools - these sessions are intended to supplement instruction and provide more individualized instruction for our teammates with unique learning or physical circumstances.
Lead Coaches for this group will be Coach Marie Antoinette and Coach Rob Stafford. Both coaches have had extensive experience working with adaptive programming and are excited to extend those skills to the swim team environment.
Our A4 workouts will be at
Baker Demonstration School and will be limited to 12 athletes.
Athletes will participate in these additional sessions with coach approval.
As this is a pilot program for this season, currently registered athletes will not have any additional costs affiliated with this programming. New athletes to our program will have a seasonal fee of $600.
