The Lady Crusaders finished the dual meet season in dramatic style defeating L'Anse Creuse by an announced score of 96-73. The actual score would have been 124-37. I was very excited to watch the girls swim this evening because a number of girls swam events in which they normally do not swim and they posted best times in those events.
These swimmers included: 200 Free - AnnDee Geddes, Emilia Ridderikhoff, Megan Combs, Kaelan Fischer & Jenna Loyal, 200 IM - Kayla Owensby, Olivia Perfili & Rachel Yung, 50 Free - Sydney Rudolph, 100 Free - Peyton Cooper, 500 Free - Megan Combs & Kaelan Fischer, 100 Breast - Kayla Owensby.
The team is coming into the most difficult part of the season. This is the time of the year, just before taper where practices become very intense. Often times swimmers will want to give up and think it is OK to skip a practice here and there. This is unacceptable. If I do not have prior knowledge as to why a swimmer is missing a practice, then I WILL NOT be entering that swimmer into the Division Meet. Yes, this includes skipping just 1 single practice! Please keep me informed if a swimmer will miss a practice.
One of the goal's I set for the team is to try and defeat Dakota and without 100% effort from every swimmer, this will not be possible. Teammates, encourage teammates to work hard and attend every practice.
