BLUE NT Recaps, IMX Update, ABE->TYO Status Report

Hello EMAC

What an incredible showing for EMAC at the BLUE NT Buster and BLUE Mini Buster this past weekend.

NT BUSTER

The object of the meet was to challenge swimmers to do new events.  EMAC kids stepped up and logged 78 times in new events!!!  While swimmers were challenging themselves in events of all strokes and distances, we wanted to highlight swimmers competing in the 400 IM, 500 FR, and the 1650 for the first time.

  • 12 swimmers swam the 400 IM for the first time
  • 14 swimmers swam the 500 FR for the first time
  • 7 swimmers swam the 1650 FR for the first time
  • Click HERE for a list of those swimmers

In addition to the swimmers challenging themselves to do new events, many swimmers achieved new MA Champs Series times standards, qualifying them for a championship meet.

  • 3 swimmers achived new JO cuts
  • 11 swimmers achieved new Silver Champs cuts
  • 13 swimmers achieved new Bronze Champs cuts

NT MINI BUSTER

Coach Jason sent out an outstanding email to our Bumblebee Group detailing what he saw.  I was ecstatic to see our 8&U swimmers collectively put 31 new swims in the water.

These swimmers have the right "no fear - can do" attitude, and they are off to a great start!!!

Among many notable swims, HERE are the first-time swims of 100 yards or more!!!

IMX UPDATE

The following 12 swimmers have already earned an IMX Score:

Cyrus Desai, Rachel Dolan, Sophia Harmon, Caroline Hattala, Kate Newhard, Ian Nguyen, Addie Pappentick, Zoe Reppert, Nick Soares, Izzy Sparaco, Zoe Vezenov, Julian Vlaeminck.

2 Messages from Coach Doug to these swimmers:

  1. I CAN'T OVERSTATE HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS.....READ THAT AGAIN!
  2. Now, evaluate your scores and plan on how you can improve your score and national rank!!!

Last year we had 72 swimmers achieve an IMX Score.  Our goal this year is 80.  These swimmers are truly leading a culture movement at EMAC.

MANY swimmers will be added to this list over the next few meets.

FLIGHT TO TOKYO UPDATE

The swimmers accumulated some extensive miles over the Alloy Alliance and BLUE NT meets.

We have now traveled 1,725 miles!!!

If you are confused and have not read the email explaining our Flight To Tokyo, click HERE.

HERE is the most current Flight Status Report:  ABE -> TYO

Keep up the great work swimmers, parents, and coaches!!!
