BAC Parents Safe Sport Meeting

USA Swimming is committed to fostering a fun, healthy, and safe sport environment for all its members. We all must recognize that the safety of swimmers lies with all those involved in the sport and is not the sole responsibility of any one person at the club, LSC, or national level. This means that everyonenational office, coaches, officials, parents, and athletesis essential to creating a culture where all forms of misconduct are intolerable and eliminated as soon as possible.
Berkeley Aquatic Club is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive space for all athletes to experience the sport of swimming.
Berkeley Aquatic Club and Blue Streak Aquatic Club are committed to a healthy dynamic on deck at practice and meets.
Berkeley Aquatic Club supports the USA Swimming Policies & Guidelines of Safe Sport at this and all sanctioned meets.
USA Swimming has created a Safe Sport Recognition program. BAC is working toward obtaining this recognition.
As part of this recognition we are offering an education program for all parents. We will be going over the Safe Sport program for adults program.
When: Monday November 18 @ 6:00pm - 6:45pm
Where: 2nd floor conference room
Sign up: We need to submit a record of attendance to USA Swimming so sign ups will be done on line.
We are hopeful that every BAC family can have at least one adult attend this Safe Sport Meeting.
