Important Indy Information - Cuts, Hotel and Policies

Registration is now open for the Circle City Classic meet in Indianapolis, scheduled January 24-26.  Detailed information regarding cuts, team hotel and policies for this meet are outlined below.

Cuts for the Indy meet are required by the host club, Brownsburg Swim Club, and strictly adhered to by MCA.  The Indy meet requires BB National Time Standard cuts to participate, which can be found on page two (short course yards, not meters) of  this document.

Please be on time with registration as there are no late entries for this very popular qualifying meet.  If you know you are not traveling to Indy, please decline the meet participation for your swimmer (in the events tab on the MCA site) once the registration becomes available so we are aware.

If a swimmer is close on a cut for a particular event, they may register for the event and try to make the cut at one of our upcoming meets.  The last opportunity to make a cut will be at the USSC meet the weekend of January 10.  If a swimmer does not meet or exceed the BB time standards at the USSC meet for events they are registered for, they will be scratched from those events and will not swim them at Indy.  Again, swimmers will *only* swim events at Indy for which they have BB cuts.  No exceptions.  Please note that a swimmer's age at the time of the meet is the age group they will need cuts for.

After the next few meets we attend, coaches will email eligibility reports so swimmers can see which events they are qualified to swim at Indy.

Hotel blocks have been arranged for our team.  We encourage bookings through the MCA room block as our athletes walk together to the natatorium as a team.  Reservation information can be found by clicking  HERE.  Any questions regarding hotel bookings can be addressed to team parent, Andrea Mychalowych, at The address for the Fairfield is 501 West Washington Street, Indianapolis 46204.

Further information regarding the Indy meet can be found in the meet packet HERE.

There are some great Indy prep videos on our website from last short course season.  Athletes can (and should)  check them out here

Coaches expect all participants to represent our Club in the highest possible standard.  This is an invitation-only meet and Motor City Aquatics is proud to be invited year after year.  While we recognize this travel meet is a great way for our swimmers to bond and gain experience, we expect athletes to be well rested to race, show good sportsmanship, and exhibit respect for all coaches, teammates and officials.

We're looking forward to some great racing!  GO MCA!
