The Montana Swimming Program Development Committee is pleased to present the second annual Montana Swimming Swim Clinic and Parent Workshop on Saturday November 16 in Hardin. The clinic is held in conjunction with the HOT Sugar Beet Classic swim meet and is free to all athletes entered in the meet. A sepaarte parent workshop will also be held for parents and officials.
HOST: Montana Swimming Program Development Committee
LOCATION: Hardin Community Activity Center Pool and Hardin High School, Hardin, MT
WHO: This clinic/workshop is open for all swimmers entered in the HOT Sugar Beet Classic meet November 16-17 and their parents and officials.
COST: There is no charge to attend the clinic and workshop. Funding is provided by Montana Swimming.
SWIM CLINIC: Several Montana Swimming coaches will coach athletes though a series of stations designed to strengthen and improve the swimmers' strokes, starts, and turns. Discussions will be held about safe sport and the athletes will hear from one of the Montana Swimming athletes who will be competing at the US Olympic Trials in June. Each athlete will receive a goodie bag with treats and swag.
PARENT WORKSHOP: The parents will meet at Hardin High School (across the street from the pool) to discuss various safe sport scenarios, MAAPP and officiating. Snacks will be provided. Susan Huckeby will lead the parent clinic.
COACHES: Montana Swimming head coaches Kristen Wyatt (BY), Matt Yovich (BOZ), Leigh Ann Pallone (HOT) and Caty Flikkema (BMA) along with several assistant coaches will work with the athletes. Coaches, if you are planning to attend this meet and would like ot assist with the swim clinic coaching, contact Kristen Wyatt for more information.
REGISTRATION: If you plan to attend the clinic/workshop, it would be greatly appreciated if you would email Coach Kristen Wyatt prior to the start of the meet and let her know how many athletes and adults to expect. Swimmers and parents will be gladly accepted the day of the clinic as well, but for planning purposes advance notice is appreciated so enough goodie bags, handouts, and snacks are available for all participants.
