Over the past few weeks, we have attended the very first Nova Tech and the second Age Group meet of the season. Here are a few notes from our coaches!
Nova Tech Meet #1:
I have nothing but good things to say about our very first Nova Tech meet of the season! Overall, I was very impressed with the effort put in by each and every one of our swimmers. This was the very first swim meet for many of our Bluefin level swimmers including Noah Gaudet, Owen Hartery, Carina Tumampil & Gabriel Reyes and I am extremely proud of their performance.
Highlights from the meet are as follows:
Graduations from Participation (Bluefin) to Nova Tech Level 1
- Jordyn Mcphee
Graduations from Nova Tech Level 2 to Age Group
- Claira Kilpatrick
- Savannah Jamieson
- Melanie MacLean
- Joshua Tumampil
- Gabriel Vitkin
Congratulations to our graduates!
Our next Nova Tech meet is scheduled for the 7th of November and again, will take place at Centennial pool in Halifax. There will be an email sent out regarding this meet shortly to all swimmers still in the Nova Tech program. Swimmers who have graduated to Age Group will receive a separate email regarding the upcoming AG meet in Greenwood at the of November.
Way to go Nova Tech swimmers, keep up the great work!
Age Group #2:
Once again we had an excellent meet in Wolfville at the AGD #2. In the 200 IM we experienced 100% Improvement from our swimmers. Alex Bouchard broke two club records, the 100 fly and 100 breaststroke. Congratulations Alex!
We had a great time with many personal bests. Eric Schillinger was the winner of the swim cap draw, for personal bests - ask him to show you his new cap!
I encourage you to have a look at the Swim Canada Power Rankings site for your child's results and ranking within our province (click here). I am extremely proud! We have swimmers ranking in the top 10 and many in the top 3. Amongst these swimmers is Jaidyn Peterson who is third in her age group in the 100 butterfly after only her second AG meet!
There will be an email sent out shortly regarding the next AG meet taking place in Greenwood at the end of November.
Keep up the great work!
