WEEKLY UPDATE

Fall Jamboree Wrapup - The Fall Jamboree was an incredible testament to our team. Our coaches heard the following feedback from other coaches and parents: "Your swimmers are so present and positive", "Unlike anything I've seen in youth sports", You have a first-class organization", "This is truly inspiring", "The Jamboree shows what an amazing team Orinda Aquatics is; all of the Character First aspects shine through and you can see that everybody feels so proud to be a part of this team."

Thank you to our Senior Group for the impressive job you all did working the Jamboree this weekend! They filled the roles of: Announcers, Colorado, Hospitality, Marshals, Runners, Snack Shack, Timers, etc - and the event went very smoothly. Senior Parents - you should be very proud of your swimmers!

A special thank you to Coach Matt Ehrenberger for the time and effort required to make this event happen! The Fall Jamboree simply would not happen without Matt.

Thank you to our parents who worked the Jamboree! Although it was the "social job obligation" for some, it was yet another showing of generosity of time for the majority: Meet Directors Jane Healy & Laurel Purewal; Our Officials - Cristina Bensadoun, Marc Bensadoun, Mille Nygren, Supicha Castro, Michael Devlin, Robert Evans, James Kang & Rachel Yang and Social Job Volunteers Ruth Fok, Oksana Reggi and Jerry Rivera-Gu. Please accept our apologies and our gratitude if we unintentionally missed you!

Also - thank you to Mac Follmer. Last year, Mac completed his Eagle Scout project. He had the idea to create an opportunity for the East Bay Sea Serpents to compete in a meet alongside their typically-developing peers. The Fall Jamboree seemed like the perfect opportunity and he worked with Coach Matt to make it happen. The innaugural event was a positive experience last year and it was even better this year. We look forward to continuing this new tradition in the years ahead!
