COACH TED MURPHY NAMED HEAD COACH FOR TRITON SWIM CLUB
1 December 2019 (Beaumont, AB) – The Triton Swim Club is very pleased to announce and welcome their new Head Coach, Ted Murphy.
Ted is an accomplished and knowledgeable age group development and intro to competitive coach. Ted began his career in 1997 with the Fort Worth Area Swim Team (FAST) in Texas. From Texas, he returned to Calgary to coach with Cascade Swim Club from 2002 to 2006. His career path took him through Foothill Stingrays, Hollyburn Swim Team, Etobicoke, Medicine Hat, Silver Tide and Nose Creek Swim Association. The most important lesson he has learned in his coaching career is that swimming needs to be enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. Ted believes that swimming is a lifelong sport. It allows participants to grow, set goals and develop a level of fitness which is vital to long-term health and enjoyment, not only in sport but in all aspects of life.
“We are delighted and filled with gratitude that Ted will be leading Triton’s coaching staff for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. His experience coupled with his ability to select, develop and mentor junior assistant coaches will deliver quality programming, create excellence in swimming and further enhance Triton’s strong team culture. Synergetic coaching will no doubt yield greater swimming accomplishments for Triton swimmers ages 4 to 12, while continuing to develop top level competitive swimmers. Triton Swimming is committed to novice and developmental swimming. Growing and maintaining a high caliber community swimming program out of Leduc and Beaumont pools remains Triton Swimming’s top objective,” says Chad Eusanio, TCSS Director of Fundraising.
Coach Ted will take up his duties with Triton Swim Club on December 9th, 2019.
As we transition into the new year, please join us in extending a warm, Triton family welcome to Coach Ted Murphy.
