The Killarney Swim Club was in fine form last weekend at the OSC JP Fiset and CASC Age Group Challenge competitions.
In Edmonton, the team was represented by 27 swimmers/Christmas Carolers. KSC was on fire, setting 200 personal best times and singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer! Avery Mitchell broke the 11-12 club record in the 400 IM, proudly replacing her sister, Emma on the record board!
Killarney swimmers climbed the podium 18 times! More importantly, several swims from the weekend Rank Top 20 Nationally and a few swims are the TOP time in Alberta for their respective age group. Jaxon Wolff is 2nd in Canada in the 13-year-old 50 Fly (1st in AB) , 6th in the 50 FR (1st in AB), 10th in the 50 BK, and 15th 100 FR (1st in AB). Daniel Ford, 17, is 12th in the 200 BK and 16th 100 BK. Paul Dardis, 13, is 15th in the 1500 FR and 17th in the 400 FR (1st in AB). Lauren Porter,13, is 17th in the 200 BR (1st in AB). Avery Mitchell, 12, is 18th in the 200 BK, 18th in the 200 IM. Balazs Moldovan, 13, ranks 20th in the 50 BK. Kate MacLean, 15, posted a 18th Canadian Ranking in the 200 Fly. To say the least, it was a very exciting weekend of racing in Edmonton!
Several other Swimmers Rounded out top 50 Rankings in Canada including: Rianne Gamayo, Molly Fleming, Matthew MacDonald, Katie Thompson, and Sam Wise.
