Winter Age Group Champs 2019

Winter Age Group Championships 2019 – a TEAM Performance

The 2019 version of WAG was one to remember, as CMAC traveled to Palm Springs, and faced a never before seen power outage which rendered Friday’s events off the table. This threw many teams and swimmers for a loop, but not CMAC! Our swimmers showed true spirit, fortitude, focus, and a desire to put forth their best effort each time they raced.

The event became a timed-finals format for all age groups, which meant each swimmer had just ONE chance to perform in each swim. This ended up being a great help to CMAC, as we were nearly perfect with lifetime best swims and our relays were on point with great swims, safe exchanges, and big points!!!

There were many notable achievements this year, particularly in our TEAM’s performance overall, and in our rounded performance in many age categories represented in the meet. We had the following scoring swims this year:

If one thing was obvious at the meet, it is CMAC’s rise is now visible – we are becoming a true TEAM. Through solid attendance, engagement in the daily process, and a heightened level of enjoyment of the sport, EVERYONE is benefitting, and the results speak for themselves.

The Senior Elite group’s mantra for 2019 has been:

“Daily Excellence, Daily Improvement” ---------- The core of that statement is “Daily”.

Our coaching staff is making a promise to you and your swimmers. If you do that one thing – SHOW UP “Daily”, this can become something your children can build confidence and skill in, and this is a gift they will take with them throughout their lives. The mental and physical strength and resiliency they develop is incalculable in their development as people.

Again, congratulations CMAC!!! On to the next: R/W Champs, Blue Champs, Spring JOs!!
