Weekly and Sprint Spectacular Update

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday Break!

We are back to "normal" schedule on Tuesday.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our HOliday Challenge. Please email me if your swimmers did any swims on their own over the Christmas Break, I will count any workouts done until Midnight on Monday. I will send out the list of those That I have whom completed them, and I have them down for it, on Sunday.  If you have 6-7 practices, I will have a small item for you. Those that did all 8 will get a few additional items. The goal was to keep everyone in the water over break and I think we got a few great workouts in as well!

I will be turning in next weekend's meet entries in by 3:00. SO let me know if there is any changes.

There will be no practice on the  5th, 12th or the 19th.

If your swimmers plan to attend the Central Regional Championship meet, they need to compete in atleast 2 YMCA meets prior to that meet on 3/6/2020. If they qualify for the Heartland Area Championship, they need to swim atleast 3 swim meets, and the Regional Meet does count. Please keep that in mind as we have a lotof meets coming up, but if you don't make those minimum meets, you can not swim at championship meets in March!

THIS WEEKEND"S MEET

The meet entry only allowed for us to sign up for 3 events, but the meet packet said they could sign up for 4 events. So after getting permission from the hosting team I added a 4th event to most of the swimmers coming this weekend!

Schedule: Saturday Morning-Session 1: Warm-Up: 9:00 am (11-12 Boys/Girls, 13-14 Boys/Girls, 15-21 Boys) Meet Starts: 10:00 am

We have warm-up from 9:00-9:45 in lane 8, North Pool. Please plan to arrive no later than 8:45.

Saturday Afternoon-Session 2: Warm-Up: 1:00 pm (8&U Boys/Girls, 9-10 Boys/Girls, 15-21 Girls) Meet Starts: 2:00 pm

We have warm-up at 1:00-1:45 in Lane 1 in the South Pool. Please plan to arrive no later than 12:45.

I currently do not have a psych sheet. They have not published it. Please plan to bring a sharpie to mark your kids and some cash to purchase a heat sheet.

If you have not been to this pool, it is a 50 meter pool that they have a bulk head in the middle. It is a big pool complex. Assure the swimmers that they will be swimming the same length as our pool, but it simply looks bigger!

If you are unaware, the 50 free is going to be done in a different format. It is a shootout, after the first round, the top 12 will swim in the second round, then the top 4 will advance to the 3rd round, making a final 4. It is a fun way to swim the 50 free events!

If you have meet mobile, the results will be posted on meet mobile throughout the event.

NO PRACTICE ON SUNDAY!

Happy New Year!
