IM XTREME GAMES

The IM Xtreme Games Northeast meet is January 24-26.  The deadline to sign up for the meet is tomorrow, January 9.

Swimmers who qualify for the meet for the first time since the eligibility date of September 1, 2018, by attaining the score of 1800 at the Pirate Plunge meet, can sign up only on January 20 with those Pirate Plunge results.  This January 20 deadline for new qualifiers is a hard deadline with no exceptions from USA Swimming.  Results from the Pirate Plunge meet can otherwise not be used for swimmers already entered into the IMX meet, as per the meet announcement.

All swimmers, regardless of gender or age, must have a minimum IMX score of 1800.  This score must have been completed in one season in one course, after the beginning time of September 1, 2018.  So, swimmers must have completed the 5 or 6 events for the appropriate age within either the 2018-2019 Short Course Yard (winter) season, 2019 Long Course Meter (summer) season, or 2019-2020 Short Course Yard (winter) season.

Eligibility reports are linked above for each of the three eligible seasons.  If your swimmer is not on a list, then your swimmer did not complete the total events necessary to get any IMX score (listed below).  If your swimmer is on one or more of the lists, check the IMX score on the very left to see if your swimmer has the minimum score of 1800.  If your swimmer does not have the score of 1800 yet, either by not having enough points for their IMX score, or by not having completed all of the IMX events in one season and one course, then your swimmer can qualify for this meet for the first time at the Pirate Plunge meet by completing all of the events and scoring at least 1800 IMX points.

IMX events are as follows:
9-10 year olds: 200 free, 200 IM, 100 fly, 100 back, and 100 breast
11-12 year olds: 500 free, 200 IM, 100 fly, 100 back, and 100 breast
13-14 year olds: 500 free, 400 IM, 200 IM, 200 fly, 200 back, and 200 breast

Swimmers who enter into the meet will automatically be entered into all age-appropriate events throughout the entire weekend, listed above.

DOUBLE LAST CHANCE A/BB/C MEET

The Double Last Chance A/BB/C Meet is February 15-16.  This meet will open for entries later this week.

This meet will be the last meet for many swimmers to qualify for the assortment of championship meets.

LAST CHANCE MINI MEET

The Last Chance Mini Meet is February 15-16 (both days).  This meet will open for entries later this week.

This meet will be the last chance for 8 & Under swimmers to qualify for Middle Atlantic Mini Championships.

SWIM CAPS

Swim cap declarations have been taken, caps have been sorted out, and caps will be distributed to each site in the next week.

DST FLYERS NIGHT

The deadline to sign up for the January 16 Philadelphia Flyers game is this Friday, January 10.  This is a hard deadline, because ticket information needs to be coordinated with the Philadelphia Flyers.  You can sign up to attend the game here.  You can also reach the sign-up through the "Meets & Events" tab on the team website, just like for swim meets.  Swimmers who sign up for tickets through Delaware Swim Team will get a Flyers Gritty swim cap.

Thanks,
The Delaware Swim Team coaching staff
