Meet results and upcoming travel meets

Middle school parents, swimmers, and divers:

Thanks for a fantastic first meet! Special thank you to everyone that volunteered in some capacity. Couldn't have done it without your help. If you are interested in times and results, click here for meet results: ( /rechsphssd/UserFiles/Image/QuickUpload/warren-meet-results_056600.pdf).

Please note that our next home meet isn't until the Conference Championship on Saturday, February 29. We have 3 travel meets in the month of February. The travel lineups are COMPETITIVE. We have limited space on the bus to travel, and many of the pools we compete at aren't equipped to handle 74 of our swimmers or additional heats in events. Continued attendance is crucial to be considered for the travel roster, yet please understand that we will only be able to take about half of the team to travel meets. Please continue email Coach Patrick or Erin with conflicts ahead of time so that practices absences may be considered Excused over Unexcused.

The travel roster will be posted on the walls of the pool on the Monday before the Away meet. It will also be announced here and via email. If you miss practice the Monday before a meet, you risk losing your spot in the meet lineup

Finally, all swimmers on the Away meet roster are expected to ride the bus directly to the meet right after school, AND ride the return bus back to Pike High School. Swimmers will call parents on their way over to Pike to communicate pick up time. We HIGHLY encourage riding the bus both to and from the meet, but we recognize there are circumstances where parents may need to transport their kids home from the Away meet site home. In those cases, you must complete a Transportation Waiver (here:  /rechsphssd/UserFiles/Image/QuickUpload/transportation-release-form_052805.docx) and have it turned in to your Middle School Athletic Director 24 hours before the meet. Anyone without a Transportation Waiver on file will have to ride the bus. We cannot make exceptions to this rule as it is a massive liability. Just like physicals, coaches cannot accept these waivers; they must be turned into the Athletic Directors.

Please continue to communicate any questions! Thanks.
