WEEKLY UPDATE - Week of February 10, 2020
Please read through entire weekly update each week to make sure you don't miss important notices - practice & meet information are at the end.
Weekly Highlights - Thank you to our parents for your great work at our meet this weekend - we appreciate all of you! A special thanks to the especially super parents who willingly worked an extra shift. We were a few people short and we thank you greatly for answering the call to help - you know who you are and we appreciate your generosity. On the other side of that coin - we had a few parents who were late to their shifts because they had trouble finding parking. Please keep in mind that you need to allow time to park if you're not working the first shift of the day - thank you.
High School Season starts this week - see schedule below for details.
Silicone Caps - This weekend, we noticed that some of our swimmers were wearing damaged caps. If the lettering is peeling from your cap(s), please email Jean Follmer at firstname.lastname@example.org
East Bay Sea Serpents Volunteer Opportunity - The East Bay Sea Serpents is gearing up for the Spring 2020 Season! Practice will start on March 1 and will continue on Sundays from 3:50-5:00 at the Soda Center. If you are a returning Volunteer Coach or are interested in becoming one please visit the EBSS Website to sign up. Thank you for your support of this wonderful program!
Attention Junior Group Families - We Still Need More Officials from the Junior Group! Thank you to our officials - we are grateful for your time & dedication to our team. We currently have enough officials from the Senior Group (thank you!) but we're still in need of more Junior Group officials. Did you recently come to our team from rec swimming or another team? Do you have an officiating background? If not, are you willing to try it out? Being an official comes with a few enviable perks: Prime Parking at Meets, Access to Hospitality, Expense Reimbursement and the Best View in the House. Please contact Cristina Bensadoun for more information. Thanks for your consideration!
Seniors - Reminders - if you'll be swimming in college please contact Jean Follmer once you've finalized your verbal commitment. She'll provide information regarding announcements. Please notify Pacific Swimming if you haven't already.
Athlete Protection Training - Turning 18 Soon? Don't forget to complete your Athlete Protection Training so you can practice with the team and compete in meets. The information can be found HERE. Let Jean Follmer know when you've finished the training.
Senior Group: No Monday AM, Monday PM - attend High School Meetings followed by OA practice for all groups from 4:45-6:15, Tuesday - Saturday High School Season Schedule on above link.
Junior Group: Monday - Saturday - High School Season Schedule on above link - no Monday meeting.

Swim Meet Policy: The coaching staff puts together a meet schedule that provides a balance of racing opportunities along with well-needed periods of training between competitions for each group. Team policy is: swimmers follow the meet schedule for their group, with coaches in attendance.
