Subject Line, Social, Community Give Back, Spartan School Clothing Program

Dear Parents and Swimmers,
With the support of the coaches and executive we are happy to introduce an inspiring social opportunity for the club and swimmers to get involved in the community and make a difference.   If you aren't able to get involved in this program don't worry we would like to create a variety of opportunities to combine club socials and serving the community in the future. Parent points and/or school volunteer hours can be earned and approved. Please talk to your swimmers and connect with suggestions to We will also be talking to each swim group about opportunities before practices in the coming weeks.
The school clothing program was proposed by Chris Olafson, Club Executive Member and School Counsellor at CSS.  Chris recognized a student need for gym clothes and shoes at his school and others in the district. The main concept of the program is too collect gently used clothes and shoes, from swimmers as well as lost and founds from participating schools and then to wash, sort and deliver items.
The school lost and found collection happened before Christmas.  Moving forward we are looking for your donations if you have anything to pass along I will be collecting items February 12th to 29th , toss them in your car and drop them off with myself, my husband Rob, Bobby or Bella at swim practice. Please ensure items are clean, folded and free from rips and stains, all clothes are welcome however for older kids in particular t-shirts, tanks, hoodies/sweatshirts, leggings, shoes, and shorts.  If you swim at the Cheam pool, please connect with the coaching team at practice and they will place items in the office.
The next steps are to wash, sort and deliver all the amazing items we have collected.  We have planned one date to wash and one date to sort. The details are below, if you have a swimmer age 10-18 that would like to help with one or both please reply to We have a limited number of spots, please commit early.
