VELO Takes 4th at Qualifiers

Velocity Aquatics had an impressive finish at the 2020 Niagara Silver Championship Qualifier. 61 athletes led to team to a 4th place finish with 1,422.5 points. Leading the way with 142 points was Audrey Garverick, the winner of this years 10 & Under Girls High-Point award.

Six swimmers combined for a total of ten first-place finishes! Those swimmers were:

  • Audrey Garverick (10U girls) - 50 back, 100 back, 50 fly, 100 fly
  • Catherine Markowski (10U girls) - 50 free
  • Bobby Miller (10U boys) - 100 free
  • Amelia Wands (13-14 girls) - 100 breast
  • Phill Montiero (15-18 boys) - 100 breast, 200 breast
  • Drew Kauffman (15-18 boys) - 200 back

Six more Velocity swimmers qualified for Gold Championships, adding 37 individual events between the 12 and Under and the 13 and Over meets.
