STATEMENT REGARDING COVID-19 AND GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY

As you are aware from information circulating via media outlets, George Mason University is following what most institutions are implementing and extending spring break to allow for online teaching preparation and assessment of campus operations.  They will then move to a model which has their students primarily learning from home for a period of time.  Though it is too early to know the full impact of COVID-19 on our team as a whole, we recognize the possibility of temporary closures and meet cancellations at our GMU training facility in the near future.

The purpose of this email is to assure you that we are closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation associated with COVID-19 and also working directly with our contacts at the University to provide you with the most up-to-date information on likely or actual pool closures.  At this time, GMU is still operational and we will continue to hold practices.  It is too early to say how our training schedule will be impacted.  Please know our foremost priority at present is the health and safety of each and every one of our athletes and coaches.  We will strive to provide you timely notice of any practice changes.

Thank you for your support, patience, and understanding.
