Swimmers, Parents & Coaches

There are a lot of unknowns and I think it will be like this for a while, all we can do is go day by day and take advantage of every opportunity we have, could be a lesson we all need. Every Swimmer in this country, maybe even worldwide is facing the same situation, who will come out ahead after all of this. There are still a lot of things we can do to improve our selves, let’s look at those and take advantage of the things we can control. During this time, it is our recommendation that all swimmers stay in the best shape they can individually, there are many options you can do by yourself at home. It is important as an organization that we follow the guidelines that the State, the school district, the Park District and USA swimming has put forth in doing our part to stop the spread of Covid 19. We asking that you do not get together with other swimmers for group practices or exercises at facilities for now. Coach Tim and Jon will be at the Pool on Monday March 16th from 5:30am - 1:00pm if any Senior swimmers would like to come in a pickup medicine balls or stretch cords to borrow during this time they can to use to stay in shape.

We continue to stress the importance of preventing the spread of infection and share the following information being circulated by healthcare officials:

1. Avoid gettin g closer than six feet to anyone coughing or sneezing
2. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that
has 60 95% alcohol. This is especially important after going to the bathroom, before
eating, or after blowing your nose, cough ing or sneezing
3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
4. Cover your mouth with a tissue or your elbow if you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in
the trash, and then wash your hands
5. Stay home if you are sick, and away from the pool and from fellow team members
6. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces reg ularly
7. Monitor the WHO and CDC websites for travel advisories and follow their recommendations.
